Edward M. Borasky I have just retued from the trainer during a workshop in Charlotte, North Carolina called Mastering stuttering Workshop: The "structure" of stuttering. There is a manual of 300 pages, and three days? the value of exercises, which are difficult to summarize in one page. The workshop and the manual two years of work by the co-founder of the Inteational Society of Neuro-Semantics?, Dr. Bob soil Hamer, D. min. And many others. 1. What is Neuro-Semantics? What is Neuro-Semantics? Stands for neuro neurology? the brain and nervous system. And semantics is the study of words and their meanings. Put them together and you've Neuro-Semantics? the study of how our words and the words of others in our thoughts, feelings and emotions. Neuro-Semantics is a discipline that helps us to provide our heads. This framework consists of practices that we, as a model? You can put into practice the techniques to improve our working methods throughout the world. In Neuro-Semantics, we are of the opinion that the mind and body in an integrated system. And a State is simply a state of the system? the sum of the mental, emotional and behavioral disorders experience in a given time. Typical are angry, scared, happy, sad, calm, stressed, tired and energy. If people who help us to stutter fluently, neuro-semantics of the practice of what we call a matrix? connected dynamic structure of meanings, the States and the intentions of others by which time the world, our capabilities and ourselves. The key principle of neuro-semantic approach to stuttering, we believe that if you speak fluently * * every picture, you can lea to speak fluently in * all * contexts. Let's us on one of the concepts of Neuro-semantics of the seminar, called Perceptual positions. The realization that there are people who work in five basic modes of visual experience offers an enormous potential in the control of the state and to improve our communication. The following description is from the manual of Dr. Hamer floor: 2 Top position? If you connect to your body, you will stay in first position. This allows you to look at the world with their own perspectives. At first instance, you can not consider another location. Just think,? How does the conversation or to communicate conces me? ? First position is the position of normal and healthy seeing, hearing, thinking and feeling about himself. E 'position to deal with authenticity in order to protect yourself, your thoughts, feelings and reactions consistent, disclosing, listen, ask, and is compatible with another. If you recall a memory, and blind to see the photo, it was in his mind? Are you? inside? I remember that, through their eyes, hear the sounds and sensations you feel as though they were. 3rd Second place? If you are in second position, and you? Stand the other person's shoes. They believe that a message or an event which look, feel and sound of another person-perspective. In second position, imagine yourself in the body of another person. In this position it is to imagine himself through their eyes. Second is to understand that sense, experience and empathy for the things from another? S sight. Here? Ll feel in line with others and have a strong sense of his perspective. ? What you like, such as clay, and feelings, what the other person view of you? In the second position to develop the capacity for empathy. This position allows flexibility in conflict with someone. Starting from the second position, one can appreciate the way your partner thinks and behavior. ... 4th Third place? If you are far from a case, probably more than you do by clicking on the third position. Third place offers the possibility of separation from the whole event or conversation. In third place with an observer independent. Third position enables us to operate from a position of objectivity. Ask yourself? How would the conversation, or looking for an event on a completely unrelated? Set is from your body and on the side of the conversation between her and the other person. You can set both himself and the other person. The third position allows you to take a step back to a sense of distance, to observe, experiment, feel neutral, and to appreciate both positions, in its entirety. You know that you are in third place, if you recall a memory and you will see in the memory. If you are in memory, you are? Outside? And you can see for yourself that the distance of memory, if they wish. ... 5th Fourth place? Dilts (1990) specifies the fourth position in his perceptive book with NLP belief change. It defines the fourth position as? We? ? from the viewpoint of the system. Many people call this? System? Position. In this position we are? In view of the whole system. For the fourth step to the side and the prospect of the whole system, so that you look at what help the best interest of the system. In fourth position, all in the system are taken into account. One question is: what is my place, responsibility and position in this system? A format language for this position is:? If our common goals? The fourth position (the position of the system) allows us to understand the contexts (cultural, linguistic, economic, family, etc.) that affect all major systems and contexts of our world. ... 6. Fifth position? Marilyn Atkinson (1997) in an unpublished manuscript entitled? Five key ideas? suggests a different perception of position? ? universal perceptual position. This stems from the application like all generalizations, always, all, etc to our perspective. E? Trampolines us the valuable idea of a universal perceptual position. (P. 24). This offers the broadest and largest-level perspective of all. ... ? For people who hold spiritual beliefs, their fifth position is ultimately spiritual in its place. I am a Christian. So if I am in fifth position, I see myself as I am with Jesus? Up? He, with a view to me down here. If you have spiritual beliefs, leaving you imagine your body and go to be with God. " If there is, and you can see here how your speech? Going? Up? is relaxing and soothing for many people. ... ? None of these positions offer a position on the other side. Each position is equally important. The wise know Communicator is moved from one location to another. [Piano Hamer (2003), Mastering blocking and stuttering, page 139] What we have found in people who stutter are fluent with neuro-semantics, is that the ability to move between these positions, and especially the fifth position is an important element in dealing with the technique stuttering! Many overcome by blocking / stuttering have found the fifth position is very useful. You will lea to use in practice is the consequent. In fifth position, which most people are very relaxed and quiet, good-flowing state. 7th Where to lea more slowly Dr. Hamer is a laboratory for advanced stammer in Charlotte, North Carolina, as of October 1? 5, 2003. In the meantime, if you stutter or know someone who stutters, I recommend the manual harvesting. I? Ve seen to work, I? Ve talked with people who have stuttered for decades who are now talking more than me! If you?
